The girl who is seen oozing oodles of sex appeal in Nishabd actually lived like a geek for many years as an adolescent.

With her very first film, Jiah Khan has been labeled a sex bomb. But she doesn’t consider herself sexy. She says she is a lot more tomboyish that she looks. For one, she can’t get the manicures done. She also has very little fascination for handbags and other girlie fashion accessory.

And there is a reason for her being so.

When Jiah was in school in London, her mother would make her dress like a geek so that she wouldn’t attract guys. So Jiah used to wear men’s shirts with combat trousers and keep her hair oiled.

“Mum wanted to make sure that no one would be attracted to me. But after two years of looking like a geek, I smartened up. I would leave home and then change at a friend’s place into prettier clothes,” Jiah is quoted as saying.

Today, even though she has left her geeky self behind, Jiah says she still feels a little tomboyish.

Many people might disagree with her on that.
